MARK THE DIARY · WRITING SPACE

YOUR WORDS.
YOUR OWN SPACE.

A private by default space for an enjoyable idea, a pause, an honest check in or a story draft. Nothing here asks you to publish.

Free to explore. No account needed. Your writing stays temporary on this page.

RECOVERY IS LIFE, TOO

A little space for the good stuff.

Not everything has to be a deep dive. Try a tiny idea for a bit of connection, creativity or everyday enjoyment. Adapt it to your energy and access needs.

Pick a favourite song and give yourself three minutes just to enjoy it.

That's enough for today. Three minutes of offline enjoyment is a complete choice; everything else is optional.

There’s no points system and nothing to complete. This corner is self guided, not a live chat or monitored support group.

There is no single recovery route. Clinical care, medication, peer support, trusted people and private choices can all have a place; a setback is not a personal failure or a willpower test.

LESS SCROLLING. MORE SPACE FOR YOU.

A small pause.
A useful next step.

No timer to beat. No streak to lose.
Open the option that fits this moment.

Start with one lead: try “Find your feet” if that feels right. The other prompts are optional, choose, adapt or stop.

01 / FIND YOUR FEETI want to feel a little steadier.Open a gentle reset +

If it feels comfortable, notice your feet or the surface supporting you. Look around and name three ordinary things you can see. You can stop whenever you want.

Ask yourself: “What would make the next few minutes a little easier?” A quieter space, a familiar song or asking someone to sit with you may be enough of a start.

Put a few words to today ↗

That's enough for today. You can stop after noticing one ordinary thing or taking one safe next step.

02 / MAKE SOME SPACEI’m noticing an urge.Open a coping prompt +

You do not have to make a big promise. If possible, move away from the trigger and contact someone you trust: “I’m finding this hard. Can you talk or stay with me?”

Choose one safe, ordinary action while you connect with support. A distraction is not treatment for withdrawal or a substitute for a care plan.

Find a person, group or service ↗
03 / BUILD THE NEXT BITI want a healthier routine.Open one small practice +

Pick one action you can realistically repeat: message a supportive person, make time for food, prepare for an appointment, or write a sentence.

Link it to an ordinary moment: “After ___, I will ___.” Start small. Missing a day does not erase your effort.

Make a private practice plan ↗

These are optional self help prompts, not treatment or a detox plan. If you may be physically dependent on alcohol, get clinical advice before reducing or stopping. Immediate danger or severe withdrawal? Get urgent help.

Done enough for now? Choose one small step, close the tab and take it into your day. You can return when it helps not because you owe this site your attention.

A MOMENT FOR YOU

How is today,
really?

No score. No streak to protect.
Just a chance to notice what you need.

Your check in stays on this page while it’s open. It isn’t sent to us or saved. Refreshing or closing the page clears it. External support sites have their own privacy policies.

Right now, I feel…

Whatever your answer, you belong here.

THE STORY SPACE · PRIVATE BY DEFAULT

You’re more than
the hardest chapter.

No confession. No public feed.
A sentence can be a beginning.

You decide what belongs on the page.

Write about today, what you value or the person you are becoming. You do not have to describe substance use, prison, trauma or anything you are not ready to revisit.

A STARTING LINE

A part of me that my past does not explain is…

Want to stay a while? Try a lesson, write a few lines, or visit the good stuff corner. There is no obligation to turn your experience into a public story.

This is a self guided space, not a chatroom or live support service. Community sharing is not enabled. A shared community would need clear rules, moderation and a safeguarding plan first.

THE NEXT CHAPTER WORKSHOP · FREE

Your journey.
Your voice. Your choice.

Make something honest.
You do not have to make it public.

Optional: make a private draft or consider sharing

Want to share your recovery journey on TikTok? Start with the life you are building: an ordinary routine, a small win, something you are learning. No dramatic confession, perfect comeback or before and after transformation required. A text post, a voice note or a camera off idea can be enough.

Your life is the point. The content is optional.

Try an idea, live it, then decide whether to tell it. Likes measure attention not your progress, worth or recovery. You owe nobody a daily update.

Choose an audience. Not a level to beat.

JUST FOR ME

A page in my notebook.

Write a few lines and keep them yours. Private is a complete choice, not a failed public post.

RECORD WITHOUT POSTING

Find my own words.

Try a short recording. You can pause or delete it. Check where your device saves or backs it up.

ONE TRUSTED PERSON

Let someone in.

If you want to, share with someone you trust. Ask them not to pass it on; sharing is never a guarantee of confidentiality.

PUBLIC, ONLY IF I CHOOSE

Tell it my way.

Choose your audience and boundaries before publishing. Public is not the goal everyone has to reach.

Three starting points. No performance.

Use your own words. Roughly 15 30 seconds can be a starting format, not a target or deadline. You can use every idea privately instead.

An ordinary win

“Today I made room for [ordinary action]. What I noticed was [your experience]. It does not need to look impressive to matter to me. What I might try next is [your choice].”

Make it real: a meal, keeping an appointment, asking for company, or returning to a hobby. Use only examples that are true for you.

A routine I’m trying

“One routine I’m practising is [routine]. I make it easier by [small setup]. Some days I change the plan. This is one thing I’m trying not a fix for everyone.”

Camera optional: you could show a drawing, a playlist title or a notebook with no personal details. A face free post can still identify you through other details.

My next chapter

“I want more [value] in my life. This week that looks like [small action]. I’m allowed to learn as I go and keep parts of my story for myself.”

Make room for possibility: a course you might explore, a skill you are practising or a connection you want to rebuild. You do not need to describe prison, trauma or substance use.

A caption, if it fits: “Something I am learning in everyday life. #MarkTheDiary”

The hashtag is optional and public. It is not a private group, an endorsed story collection or a monitored support service. You do not need to tag anyone.

MY THREE LINE STORY · PRIVATE DRAFT

Make a little room for your voice.

Choose everyday details you are comfortable writing. No names, addresses or traumatic detail needed. You can also use these prompts in a notebook.

Before I publish: protect the person behind the post

Share your experience, not somebody else’s. Leave other people’s names, faces and private stories out. Do not film recovery meetings or identify other members. Check for addresses, documents, children, tattoos, workplace details and real time locations in the frame.

Choose your controls. Review your account and individual post audience, comments, direct messages, downloads, Duet, Stitch and suggested account settings. Available controls vary. Your name, username and profile photo can remain visible even with a private account. See TikTok’s public/private guide and official privacy controls.

A public post can travel. People can copy or screen record it, including when native downloads are off. Deleting the original may not remove copies. A face free video is not necessarily anonymous.

Do not turn a difficult moment into content you have to make. If intoxicated, in crisis or overwhelmed, leave filming for another time and contact someone safe. Do not revisit substance use settings or deliberately trigger yourself for a video. There is no pressure to describe painful memories.

Have an off screen plan. Decide when to log off and who you can contact. You can turn off comments where available, block or report harassment, change the audience or stop posting. You are not responsible for counselling viewers, and comments or direct messages are not crisis care. Find support for yourself or someone else.

Creative self expression, not exposure therapy. Exposure therapy is a psychological treatment planned with a qualified professional in a safe setting. Uncontrolled public responses are not that setting. If you want help with anxiety, avoidance or trauma, discuss suitable treatment with a qualified professional; talk through any sharing plans with them. What exposure therapy means APA.

You can make a mark without making a post. Save a sentence, take one real world step, or close this page. Your story still counts when nobody is watching.
